Tonight, Rick Perry attempted to shake the Etch-a-Sketch but North Carolinians will not forget the important questions he brought to light during the Republican primary. Perry challenged Romney’s ability to create jobs both as Governor and in the private sector. He highlighted the real Romney Bain experience, not the Republican spin. Perry said what Romney did was ‘vulture capitalism.’ He even said Romney was worried about ‘not having enough pink slips to hand out.’ As Governor, Romney ranked 47th in job growth and as a corporate raider he profited while putting thousands of middle class families out of work.
Raleigh, NC - First, Thom Tillis gave his chief of staff Charles Thomas a pay raise equal to the salary of an average public school teacher, then, after Thomas was forced to resign his position due to an inappropriate relationship with a lobbyist, Tillis gave Thomas a "golden parachute" payment equal to the salary of a public school teaching assistant.
